Privacy Policy
We try to run a company we'd want to hear from. That starts with being straight about what happens when you interact with us online.
Who this covers
This policy applies to Gumbo AI, Inc. (“Gumbo”, “we”, “us”) and everything you do on trygumbo.com, hellogumbo.com, their subdomains, and any forms, newsletters, or email exchanges we run.
What we collect
We keep the surface area small. In practice that means:
- What you tell us. Name, work email, and the contents of any message you send through our contact form, newsletter signup, or by emailing info@hellogumbo.com.
- Basic request data. IP address, user agent, and referrer from standard web server logs, used to keep the site healthy and to block abuse.
- Light analytics. Aggregate page-view counts so we can tell which posts land. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
We do not buy, sell, or rent personal information. Ever.
How we use it
- Reply to you when you reach out.
- Send you the occasional newsletter, only if you asked us to. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Keep the site running, debug issues, and understand which content is useful.
- Meet legal obligations — taxes, fraud prevention, regulatory requests — when we have to.
Services we rely on
A short list of trusted providers process data on our behalf under standard data-processing terms:
- Vercel — site hosting and request logs.
- Supabase — database and media storage for our CMS.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (contact form and newsletter).
Each of these handles your data only to provide the service and does not use it for their own advertising.
Cookies
We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep the site working and a small set of first-party analytics cookies. We do not run cross-site advertising trackers. You can block cookies in your browser without breaking the site.
Your choices
- Ask us what we have on you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it — email info@hellogumbo.comand we'll respond within 30 days.
- Unsubscribe from any newsletter at any time. The link is in every email.
- Opt out of analytics through cookie preferences, by enabling Do Not Track, or by using an ad-blocker that covers it.
Retention & security
Messages and newsletter signups are kept for as long as they are useful, or until you ask us to remove them. Data is encrypted in transit, and our providers encrypt it at rest. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong, we'll tell affected people promptly.
Kids
Gumbo is a business-to-business site. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, write in and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where we can, let you know directly. The current version always lives at trygumbo.com/privacy.
Contact
Questions, requests, or anything that feels off — email info@hellogumbo.com or use the contact page.
